

Lent Begins Ash Wednesday
Lent is coming soon! It is meant to be a time of preparing ourselves spiritually for Christ’s coming on Easter. It all begins at Calvin Church with a service of repentance and communion on February 18th at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. If you cannot join us in person, the service will also be live streamed on our website . Please plan to start your Lent the right way by joining us for this service.


Choir Rehearsal
The rehearsal this Wednesday, February 18th will follow the Ash Wednesday service at 7:00 p.m. The rehearsal will begin around 8:00 p.m.


Adult Education during Lent
This Lent, we invite you to lace up your spiritual walking shoes—though mercifully, you can do most of this pilgrimage in comfortable seating and sensible footwear. Calvin will travel together through Lent this year in a series called “The Way,” a shared journey of reflection, repentance, and renewal that leads us through the wilderness of Lent and into the bright dawn of Easter. Fat Taco Tuesday & Movie Night
Join us for a special evening of fellowship as we prepare our hearts for the Lenten season. We’ll gather to support our neighbors by enjoying tacos from Los Mayas, our local Mexican restaurant. Please bring a favorite dish to share for our potluck meal. Following dinner, we will watch The Way, Emilio Estevez’s film starring his father, Martin Sheen. The movie explores the journey of the Camino de Santiago, which will serve as the theme for our Lenten reflections this year. We


Taizé Service
Join us for a Taizé Service of scripture, song and contemplative Christian prayer on Thursday, March 5th at 7:00 p.m.


Adult Education
February 15 @ 9am — Glenn Sanders Jeremiah 18: 1-6 and Romans 9: 20-24 The Romans verses will be the First Nations Version of the New Testament. The focus will be on the potter, the clay, and the vessel being metaphors for our relationship both individually and as a community with God. By seeing the process of pot making and understanding what goes into that process, my hope is that we not only see God as the potter, but the importance of the Trinity being included in the met
