Calvin’s Small Group ministry offers something for everyone regardless of where you are in your faith journey. It is designed to stretch people spiritually. Below is the current list of active groups. For information on any of them, please contact the church office. 

 

The Devotional Group

This is a group for those seeking to go deeper in their faith journey. It prayerfully studies and discusses classics of the Christian spiritual life, including the books by Corrie Ten Boom, Catherine Marshall, Richard Foster, Thomas Kelly and many more. There is a Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall Group. It meets Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. at Calvin Church or via Zoom.

The Men’s Room

This spiritual growth group for men meets at every Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. in the dining area at the Marriott North in Cranberry Township or via Zoom. They explore ways to connect faith practically in work, family, and other areas of life. 

 

GIFT (Gathering In Faith Together) Group

GIFT is a women's book group that meets every Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Calvin Church. All women are welcome. ​

 

Moore and More Study Group

​

This group's focus is to guide women into a richer, more fulfilling relationship with Jesus. They use Beth Moore Bible Studies and others to learn more about the Bible. Check our church calendar for dates.

Per-Sermon Study Group

​

This group meets via Zoom and at Sherwood Oaks on Saturdays from 10:00 – 11:00 am.  This group gathers to discuss the next Sunday’s sermon bible passage.

Alphabet Soup

 

This group is for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies living in the Zelienople and Harmony areas. They meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 1:00 p.m. at Calvin Church. Come enjoy a safe space where you can get to know your fellow LGBTQ+ neighbors and find local support.

World Events Through a Christian Lens

 

This group meets the last Sunday of the month at 6:00 p.m. and allows all participants to celebrate, lament, discuss, and share thoughts on current events, history, culture, and trends in a safe place, where we can respectfully share, agree, or disagree, in a supportive mutual spirit of Christian witness. ​Committees and Session

We treat our session (church board) and committees as small groups. Each meeting begins with 30 minutes of prayer and study. The focus is to make sure that our leaders are also growing spiritually, which enables them to lead others into spiritual growth.​
