The Zelienople Preschool (previously Zelienople Nursery School) was established nearly 60 years ago. Many of our former students now send their own children to ZP and we are proud of her reputable history and the successful foundation we have helped to provide within the community. We are located in the Calvin Presbyterian Church in Zelienople. Our teachers are state certified and have all required clearances, as well as extensive experience. Circus Week at Summer Skills Program
3-Year-Old Program
3’s Monthly Tuition (2 days/week) is $145

Our 3-Year-Old Program is designed for children who are experiencing preschool or a school
setting for the very first time. It provides a gentle introduction to being in a classroom, developing early social skills, and spending time away from home. This program focuses on foundational social, emotional, and school-readiness experiences that help young children build confidence and comfort in their first preschool environment.
Up to 16 students per class / 1 teacher & 1 aide

Transitional 4-Year-Old Program
T-4's Monthly Tuition (2 days/week) is $145
(Must be 4* & potty-trained by Sept. 1, 2026)
Our Transitional 4-Year-Old Program is designed for children who may benefit from an extra year of growth before entering a traditional Pre-K or Kindergarten setting. This class provides a supportive, small-group environment that fosters confidence, strengthens readiness skills, and meets children where they are developmentally. It is especially well-suited for children who have not had previous preschool experience, those with spring or summer 2022 birthdays, children who thrive in smaller learning environments, those showing slightly delayed readiness, or children who will be eligible for Kindergarten in 2027 but plan to defer entry until the following year. *This class may also be appropriate for older 3-year-olds—often younger siblings—who are socially ready for their own preschool experience and would benefit from a slightly more advanced, yet nurturing, environment.

4-Year-Old Program
4's Monthly Tuition (3 days/week) is $165

Our 4-Year-Old Program is designed for children who are ready to further develop the skills needed for a smooth transition into Kindergarten. Children in this class typically have some experience being away from home or regular caregivers—such as daycare, library storytimes, Sunday School, or other preschool settings—and are beginning to show emerging learning readiness. For children who are still building these early readiness skills, our Transitional 4-Year-Old Program may be a more appropriate fit. This program emphasizes both Kindergarten readiness and the continued development of essential social and emotional skills. Through a balance of play-based exploration and structured learning activities, children gain confidence, independence, and foundational academic skills to support success in their next school experience.

Pre-K Day *THURSDAY*
PreK Day Monthly Tuition (1 days/week) is $80 *additional to 4s Program
(Must be 4 & potty-trained by Sept. 1, 2026)
PreK Day is an optional add-on designed to complement and extend our Traditional 4-Year-Old Program. Families may choose this additional morning if they are deferring Kindergarten enrollment or simply prefer a four-day-a-week preschool experience. This extra day provides a smaller, more intimate setting in which children can reinforce and deepen the learning, social development, and readiness skills introduced in the 4-year-old curriculum. With only 12 spots available, PreK Day offers focused attention and enriched opportunities for growth as children prepare for their next steps in school.

School Year
You will be provided with a school calendar a few weeks prior to the start of school (close to Labor Day and end prior to Memorial Day) We closely follow a typical public school year calendar.
We are a Christian-based preschool
The 4-year-olds have Chapel Time once a week; the 3-year-olds have it once a month. This is a short lesson similar to a children’s sermon and a corresponding activity. We cover some basic non-denominational Bible stories and other values. The children pray each day before snack time, and we observe the Christmas and Easter holidays.
Immunizations
All children are required to be immunized according to the schedule set by the state of PA and submit a current immunization document supplied by your child’s doctor. We do not accept Immunization Waivers. (Covid-19 and Influenza are not required immunizations at this time.). Registration must be submitted by August 31st.
Tuition
We utilize an online billing and communication system/app called Brightwheel as our sole method of payment. You have the option to pay via monthly billing or pay off the entire year at once. There is an option of paying via credit card (2.95% fee) or (ACH) directly from your bank account (0.6% fee with a minimum charge of 25 cents and a maximum charge of $2.00). All families are also required to sign a Tuition Contract so that you understand and adhere to our procedures and penalties. Please see our Tuition Contract on the Brightwheel site for further details regarding tuition policies and procedures. We do not charge any other fees beyond tuition (ie. snack fee, activity fee, or fundraising minimum). While we do have fundraisers, these are all optional and there is no fundraising minimum to meet.
There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee for all students registering for the 2026-2027 school year.
Withdrawls
If you must withdraw your child, we would appreciate being notified as soon as possible. Usually, there are other children on a waitlist who would appreciate being offered a spot. It is always our goal to service as many students as possible so that they can begin their educational foundation. If necessary to withdraw your child, you should notify us via phone call or email prior to July 1 . September’s tuition is refundable up to this date. After July 1st, it is not refundable. st Looking ahead: Students registered in our 4-year-old classes or Transitional 4’s classes are eligible to attend our Summer Skills Sessions held one week in each of June, July and August. Look for this information as summer approaches. Parent Orientation: Is held in August to help answer your questions as the school year approaches. Open Classroom Visitation: Children are invited prior to the start of the school year to help them be more comfortable in the classroom, meet the teachers, and get excited for the upcoming year. This will also be held in late August.
