Dear friends at Passavant and Calvin Presbyterian Church,
Just a few lines to thank you for your wonderful contribution to Daily Bread Ministry. Our men and women love coffee especially for those who have spent a challenging night outside. They inhale it loaded with a lot of sugar and creamer.
Since we started our coffee service, it has opened up doors for ministry. The coffee is always ready two hours ahead of our meal service, and so folks arrive early for a cup of coffee and always conversation. Our coffee time is also a time when our men and women develop friendships with one another, thus allowing for mutual support and encouragement in house and when they are out together on the streets.
A group of young men who were recovering addicts met at “coffee time,” and amazingly, they formed a “clean” “no drug” tent community (location unknown) where they can support one another in their journeys. In so many of the established shelters, drug use is very prevalent and so is temptation!
And who knew that the price of coffee would sky rocket, so your donation lightens the burden on our budget. Needless to say, I am thrilled at your great effort, and I want to extend my deepest thanks for your ongoing support!
An unknown person once said: "Coffee is a cup of hope in a world full of chaos and Mondays."
And so, it is true at Daily Bread! Thank you!

Dear friends at Passavant and Calvin Presbyterian Church,
Our Daily Bread Ministry Service Project was a great success due to your generosity. On Wednesday, Oct. 5 we delivered 71 cans or bags of coffee. We were also able to give 1000 hot cups, 1000 stirs, 22lbs. of sugar and enough creamer for 1200 cups of coffee with the money donations. A HUGE THANKS goes out to all of you that donated and to our bus drivers, Anthony and Mike for their help.
The mission of the Daily Bread Ministry is to show love beyond measure and grace upon grace. Our donations help these men and women with food insecurities to feel special in the Lord’s eyes and to realize their lives are worth fighting for.
