October 4th — Scott Hill will lead Praying with Art and Story.

Together, we will consider works of art and how they open a window on biblical stories and make connections with God’s presence in our daily life.

October 11th — Rev. Scott Hill will lead Loving Our Muslim Neighbors, Part 2.

The strong response to Scott’s recent sermon has led him to offer some further exploration of our cousins in Abrahamic faith. He will share perspectives on basics of Islam and some personal stories. We will also be joined by a Muslim friend of Scott’s who lives in Mars.

October 25th, November 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd — The Rev. Connie Frierson will lead Four Questions to Build a Life of Faith.

Have you ever been embarrassed by Christianity, confused by biblical stories, wondered if God is violent or struggled with Jesus’s message for you?  If you have, you are invited to wrestle with questions, doubts and confusion in Sunday morning adult education.  Based on Brian McLaren’s book, A New Kind of Christianity, the Reverend Connie Frierson will lead a discussion about four questions. What is the overarching story of the bible? What is biblical authority? What does God value? Why is Jesus important? We might not come up with all the answers, but let’s share and think about some foundational questions.
