Summer Camps

It is almost summer, and the Youth Formation and Education Committee would like you to save a few dates to join fellow Calvin members and friends at Camp Westminster Highlands near Emlenton , PA. In the past, many of the Calvin youth have attended this Presbyterian Summer Camp but, we have since taken a few years off. Many of our youth would love to attend the CYG opportunities over the summer but, are either too young our can not fit it into their family summer schedule. Therefore, we would like to offer the following opportunities for congregations over the summer and to be God's stewards in the process:

Test your Wings Mini-Camp
July 7-9

Entering 2-4th grade

Do you want to swim, make crafts play games, make friends, discover nature on a hike, zip on the water slide and play on a funbug in the pond?  If you do, this camp is for you?  You will also get closer to God, have a cookout and maybe try your hand at archery. A three day adventure is for younger campers like you to explore the many things that Highlands offers with the caring support of your very own counselor.

Highlands Experience I or II   Camp
July 4-9 or 25-30

Entering 3 rd -5 th grade for I

Entering 6 th -8 th grade  for II

You will have awesome experiences and successes making friends, playing games, creek walking, fun bugging, doing crafts, learning archery, sleeping out and exploring nature-just to mention a few.  With the help of your counselors, you'll get confidence on the low or high ropes course and learn to canoe on the pond.  Of course, you will be together with kids your age all week as you find out how you can be a hero like Jesus.

Last but not least, there is a day camp option as a few of us attended last year:

3-2-1 Day
August 1 or 2 nd

3 Activities, 2 meal choices, 1 great day of your choice plus bible study

Activities include:

Swimming (pool)   Fun bugs (pond)

Canoeing (pond)    Archery

Low ropes course   Nature Hikes
