STONES: The Musical Premiers May 29 through May 31st. Thursday, May 29th 7:30 Calvin’s own Jeff Jones and Bruce Smith have teamed together to create STONES, a musical odyssey which explores one extraordinary vision of what might happen should Jesus Christ return to our contemporary world. The music blends belting blues and rock & roll with soulful gospel and beautiful ballads, promising something for everyone. You’ll be humming the songs long after the performance is over. The characters in STONES are a vibrant panorama of American life, including a street gang, three not so holy TV evangelists, the new disciples, and one very, very lost soul. STONES brings back the “big musical” with a troupe of over thirty actors. From its opening scenes in a city park to its explosive ending, STONES takes the audience on a magical journey through the world of human and spiritual emotion.
