The Ladle and The HearthAbout 3 times a year Calvin members provide a meal and serve it at the Ladle, a church that provides a hot meal every Monday to hungry people in the Ambridge community. We serve about 60-90 people per meal. Our sunday school students have also participated by making decorative place mats laminated to last by their teachers, Christmas gift scarves and a vacation church school project trail mix bag for everyone to take home. Some people shop, some cook, some serve the meal and some donate money for "store items". All of us find it a very rewarding ministry. For more information, please go to www.theladle.org. |
