Adult Education
Education is central to being a Presbyterian. ThePresbyterian faith is one that values the importance of helping people to think for themselves so that they can form a relationship with Christ in a unique and personal way. We are not a tradition that tells people what they must think. Instead, we help people by teaching them about God--the Creator, Christ, and Holy Spirit--and helping them learn how to bring God into every part of their lives. The Adult Education program at Calvin Presbyterian Church reflects our calling to help people come to know Godfor themselves.Join us as we grow together in learning about God.

Faith & Politics
By
Dr. Graham Standish
Beginning Sunday, January 10, we will be offering a course, led by Dr. Standish on Faith and Politics , a course designed to help you ask, what extent does faith guide your political beliefs? To what extent do you seek God's will when voting? We live in a politically divided culture, one in which religion is often used as a political chip in the game. But does the way Christianity is represented in politics truly reflect Christian beliefs? What is a Christian view about war, healthcare, business, abortion, homosexuality, taxes, gun control, the environment, and more? The truth is that most people start with their political beliefs, and then force their religious beliefs to fit their politics. This class will not teach you how to vote or participate in politics. Instead, it will give you guidance on how to more authentically bring Christian belief and faith into how you make your political decisions.
